Transitions of a Carcass – Seasons

Read the First Part: Shadows.

II. Seasons

The hatchlings
that used to sing
a choir, for us
would’ve fled
long ago, While

I chose to keep myself
engrossed, or perhaps
remain lost while
neatly replicating
the transition, of these
seasons into my poetry.

Another summer
would’ve arrived
and the birds, now
hover over the sea.

Alas! Neither the
branches have grown
weary of their skillfully
stitched nest, nor has
my mind got tired
of aimlessly
waiting for you.

This is the second part of the series Transitions of a carcass. The three part series reflects how nature always shelters us in different phases of pain and plight. I clicked this picture on an old analog camera almost 6 to 7 years ago.

Read the Third Part: Silage.
